Press release, March 1st, 2016

Hundreds of thousands of refugees came to Germany last year. Many of them want to stay and find work. Other migrants have already been in Germany for years or even decades and have special language and culture skills because of their origins. The online job platform “mygreatjobs” is specifically designed for people with non-german roots and for employers that seek employees with special language and cultural skills. www.mygreatjobs.de went online today.

The platform offers jobs for both refugees that just arrived in Germany as well as for second or third generation immigrants. Expats will also find interesting offers on mygreatjobs.de.

"mygreatjobs sounds like 'migrate jobs'. This is not a coincidence, of course", says Johanna Ballerstein of greenjobs GmbH.

The platform also hosts job offers in the rapidly increasing job sector “Integration” and “Refugee aid” amongst others. For example the job posted by the IHK “Manager for the project 'Integration of Refugees'". Mygreatjobs is funded by the contributions of the employers posting a job offer.

Jan Strohschein, Managing Director of greenjobs GmbH, explains, "We want to help refugees and migrants to integrate into German society and having a job is essential to that end. We will work together with other platforms and initiatives to build a sustainable network."

Mygreatjobs.de is the third job platform designed and run by greenjobs GmbH. The environmental job platform greenjobs.de has been successfully running for over 15 years today. Since 2011 eejobs.de offers jobs in the Renewable Energy Sector. Greenjobs was founded by Uwe Trenkner and Jan Strohschein, mygreatjobs by Johanna Ballerstein, Uwe Trenkner and Jan Strohschein.
